Festival announces classic rock double bill

Summer in the City organizers announced Honeymoon Suite and Harlequin will co-headline its Saturday night classic rock concert at the June festival.

Summer in the City’s classic rock headliner announcement was twice as nice on Wednesday morning, as festival organizers including festival chair Graham Pollock, marketing committee member Desiree Barkman, board member Eleanor Dupont and stage and production committee member Cindi Rempel Patrick, threw open a huge invite card to announce a double bill for the Saturday night concert on June 16.

As the festival celebrates its 10th year, Honeymoon Suite and Harlequin will both be taking to the stage to Summer in the City’s classic rock night.

The Wednesday announcement completed a three week blitz of concert news from organizers, who have already announced Manic Drive as the headliner act for Worship in the City on June 17 and Terri Clark as the country headliner for June 15. Work on the festival continues and Pollock noted one current focus is the need for more volunteers.
