RCMP officers were out near the intersection of Loewen Boulevard and Henry Street on Tuesday observing drivers as part of their ‘I stop, I don’t just slow down’ campaign.

The campaign involves officers doing surveillance and keeping records of how many drivers do and do not come to a full and complete stop at the intersection. Complimentary gift cards are handed out to those who stop properly.

RCMP said in two hours of surveillance on Tuesday they observed 850 vehicles. 513 stopped properly and 337 did not.
