Hospital light display target of mischief

Steinbach RCMP issued a stern warning yesterday after mischief over the last two weekends has caused problems at the Gifts of Light tree display at Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach.

Police reminded the public in a release that the trees and lights have been sponsored by individuals and businesses in order to raise money to support health care services in the area.

Police said some of the trees in the display, a project of the Bethesda Foundation, were knocked over. Lights were stolen as well.
