Human remains discovered in Tache

The discovery of human remains has been confirmed in the RM of Tache, after a hunter found a human skull on Saturday night around 7 p.m.

Officers, along with specialists from the RCMP forensic identification unit, attended the scene and confirmed it was human remains. It is believed the remains have been there for an extended period of time, but the exact time frame is unknown.

Police said in a release on Tuesday morning that an investigation to identify the remains is ongoing with assistance from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
