Man arrested for Garson and Springfield sexual assaults

A Calgary man has been arrested and faces multiple charges related to sexual assaults on young girls in Garson and the RM of Springfield.
Ivan Valintine Cesnik, 57, became the subject of a investigation after Jan. 22, 2018, when Oakbank RCMP received a report regarding a historical sexual assault involving four female victims, three aged eight and one aged seven.
Police determined Cesnik committed assaults at his Garson residence and at a rural residence in the RM of Springfield between 2010 and 2015. He then moved to Calgary and no longer had contact with his victims.
Cesnik is charged with three counts of sexual assault, three counts of uttering threats, three counts of sexual interference, and two counts of administering a noxious substance.
Police said in release there may be more victims in the Manitoba, Alberta and the Kelowna, BC area.

In Calgary or the surrounding area has information, reports can be made to the Calgary Police Service or Alberta RCMP Serious Crime Branch at 403-420-4966. In BC, police asked the public to contact the police force in their jurisdiction.
