Man steals cash from Steinbach restaurant

Steinbach RCMP are seeking information from the public to solve a report of a theft from the A&W Restaurant in Steinbach on Saturday night.

Police said a man dressed in black, wearing a mask on his face and a toque, entered the restaurant around 11:30 p.m. as a female employee was closing up for the night.

The man stole an undisclosed amount of money.

Police said in a release on Tuesday morning that the employee was unharmed and was not threatened. No weapon was presented.

The man is described as 5’8" tall with a slim build, light brown or hazel eyes. He was wearing gloves and carried a black drawstring gym bag.
