Missing woman last seen near Menisino

Sprague RCMP are asking the public for assistance in locating a missing 84-year-old woman from the RM of Piney. 

Mary Byman was last seen south of Provincial Road 201, between Piney and Menisino, in the Spur Woods area. 

Byman and a friend were picking berries when they became separated around 4 p.m. on Wednesday, RCMP said in a release. 

Byman was wearing a blue and white checkered long-sleeved blouse. She has limited mobility and is hard of hearing, and police believe she may have made her way toward Provincial Road 201. 

An RCMP search of the area is underway, assisted by local emergency services personnel and community members. 

Police ask the public to immediately report sightings of Byman to the Sprague RCMP detachment at 204-437-2041.
