One airlifted in Thursday crash

One man was flown by STARS to Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg after a two-vehicle collision west of the Provincial Road 206 turnoff on Highway 52.

Kleefeld fire chief John Schroeder said the crash, involving a GMC Envoy and a Dodge Ram, occurred around 7:45 a.m.

Schroeder said it appeared the Envoy was attempting a left turn onto Road 38E when it was rear-ended by the truck.

Both drivers and a passenger in the pick-up were taken to hospital in Steinbach for observation. A second passenger in the pick-up was transported to Winnipeg by STARS with non-life threatening injuries.
