After exhausting all leads, police are asking the public for assistance in solving the 2017 theft of several rare taxidermied items from a commercial building in the RM of Hanover.

In a Friday release, Manitoba RCMP said the building was being converted into a wildlife museum when suspects gained entry sometime between Jan. 27 and Feb. 6, 2017.

Described as “extremely unique and quite valuable to the owner,” the stolen items include a golden eagle, bald eagle, rough-legged hawk, great horned owl, and fawn.
