A single vehicle crash in Rosenfeld, early Sunday morning, claimed the life of a 47-year-old man.

Police said in release on Sunday afternoon that at about 1:45 a.m., Morden RCMP responded to the accident which occurred on Provincial Road 332, located on Main Street in the community.

Police said investigators believe a northbound vehicle with two occupants, the man and a 47-year-old woman, both from Rosenfeld, lost control, rolled, and collided with a tree.

The woman was able to exit the vehicle, walk to the nearest home and call for help. She was later taken to hospital in serious condition.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt and that alcohol and speed are being investigated as possible factors in the collision.
