The service and the sacrifice of those who fought in armed combat will be remembered at a number of Remembrance Day ceremonies taking place throughout southeastern Manitoba this Saturday.
A Remembrance Day service in Steinbach will be held at the Emmanuel Evangelical Free Church starting at 10:45 a.m., and a light lunch will be served after the service at the Legion in Steinbach.
In Morris Legion members and residents are asked to meet at the Legion at 10:30 a.m., and from there they will march to the RM offices where there will be a ceremony and wreath laying.
In St Pierre Jolys a service and wreath laying ceremony will be held at the St Pierre Recreation Centre Community Hall, starting at 10:45 a.m.
Ste Anne will host its Remembrance Day service at the Ste Anne Catholic Church starting at 10:30 a.m.
In Emerson, a Remembrance Day service will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Emerson Community Complex.
Niverville will hold its Remembrance Day service beginning at 10 a.m. at the Niverville Heritage Centre.
In Lorette, a service will be held at Spirit Park starting 10:15 a.m.
The Whitemouth Recreation Centre will hold a Remembrance Day service starting at 10:30 a.m.
