Steinbach driver hospitalized after IDC crash

A 39-year-old woman from Steinbach was taken to hospital after a two-vehicle collision on Highway 59 south of Ile des Chenes on Tuesday night.

St Pierre RCMP received a report of the crash at 10:55 p.m.

Police said a northbound vehicle driven by a 30-year-old woman from Winnipeg, which was also carrying a 28-year-old Winnipeg man, hit the shoulder of the highway and over corrected, colliding in a head-on collision with a southbound vehicle, driven by the Steinbach resident, which also had a 16-year-old and a 14-year-old passenger also from Steinbach.

Both drivers were hospitalized with non life-threatening injuries.
