Steinbach man faces charges in Winnipeg

A 29-year-old Steinbach man was arrested on Friday morning in Winnipeg and faces several charges including fraud and theft.

Eric Wesley Allan initially provided a false name to police before he was arrested, after officers spotted a suspicious male and female on bicycles in the area of St Anne’s Road and Bishop Grandin Boulevard.

Allan was found to be in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine as well as break-in instruments, stolen identity doucments and financial cards. A stolen bicycle was also recovered.

Winnipeg Police, as a result of the investigation, found a stolen truck at a residence on St Mary’s Road, with a licence plate stolen from another vehicle.
