Steinbach man faces theft, weapons charges

Numerous construction tools and accessories were seized by RCMP after a search warrant was executed at a house in Mitchell on Monday afternoon, shortly after 5 p.m.

Six individuals were arrested as a result of the search. A prohibited weapon and ammunition were also seized.

Steinbach resident Edward Gallie, 46, has been charged with possession of stolen property, possession of prohibited weapon, possession of a prohibited weapon and ammunition while prohibited.

He was remanded for a court appearance in Winnipeg.

Police said all others arrested were released without charge.
