Summer in the City organizers have lassoed some fun for this June’s festival, landing Terri Clark as the Friday night country headliner for the 10th annual event.

The Medicine Hat native is a three-time Juno award winner and eight-time Canadian Country Music Association entertainer of the year, as well as a five-time CCMA female vocalist of the year.

She is also the lone Canadian female artist to be a member of the Grand Ole Opry.

Summer in the City will run from Friday, June 15 to Sunday, June 17. Last week, the festival announced its headliner for the Sunday night’s Worship in the City concert, Christian pop duo Manic Drive. An announcement on the festival’s classic rock headliner is expected next week.
