Cold weather will keep snow from turning to mush this weekend but there will still be plenty of mushing as sled dog races are showcased at the Vita and Area Winter Festival, which returns for another year this weekend.

Saturday’s activities include a pancake breakfast, a snowmobile show and shine, curling, 3 on 3 hockey tournament, cribbage tournament, borscht competition, glo curling, fireworks and more.

Sunday will feature stick curling, skating, bingo, and various kids’ activities.
