Where to go on Remembrance Day

If you’re looking to attend a ceremony this Remembrance Day, there are several across southeastern Manitoba.

Steinbach – 10:45 a.m. at Emmanuel Evangelical Free Church (360 McKenzie Avenue). Arrive early for seating. 307 Stoneybrook Squadron are assisting with the ceremony.

Niverville – 10 a.m. at the Niverville Heritage Centre (100 Heritage Trail). Doors open at 9 a.m. Light luncheon to follow the service.

Ste Anne – 10:30 a.m. at the Ste Anne Catholic Church (162 Central Avenue)

Lorette – 10:30 a.m. at the Community Spirit Park.

St Pierre-Jolys – 10:45 a.m. at the St Pierre Jolys District Recreation Centre (545 Hebert Avenue). Luncheon to follow service. The service will be in French.

Morris – March to the Cenotaph begins at the Morris Legion (161 Charles Street West) at 10:40 a.m. Service begins at 10:55 a.m. at the Cenotaph. After the service, there is a reception at the Legion.

Dominion City – 10:30 a.m. at the Dominion City Community Hall (31 McKercher Street).

Whitemouth – 10:30 a.m. at the Whitemouth Community Centre (61 First Street)

St Norbert – 10:45 a.m. at the St Therese Avenue cemetery in front of the limestone cenotaph engraved with the names of 13 soldiers who died in World War One. (Parking is available at the nearby St Norbert Collegiate.)
