A 35-year-old woman was arrested early Monday morning and remains in custody on several charges.

At 3:05 a.m. police responded to a report of suspicious persons on Main Street in Steinbach. The woman initially provided police with a false name before being identified.

Tammy Renz was arrested on an outstanding Winnipeg warrant. Officers also discovered illegal drugs in the woman's purse, including 3.49 grams of meth and a small amount of marijuana, along with Canadian currency and a palm scale.
