Aug. 12, 1992-Feb. 13, 2018
It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew and dear friend, Brett Wiebe. Brett died all too soon at the young age of 25 on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018.
Brett accepted the Lord Jesus into his heart and was baptized at Southland Church on June 11, 2004. Brett also attended Mitchell Fellowship Church with his best friend Connor Friesen and really enjoyed participating in a church mission trip to Mississippi in 2012.
Brett was known to love everyone and almost everything, as even from his birth on Aug. 12, 1992, he was always full of smiles. Brett attended kindergarten at Ste Anne’s school after which he attended Southwood School, Steinbach Junior High and the S.R.S.S. where he graduated in 2011.
Brett was employed in the family business and loved working hard with his dad. He always made an effort to please people in everything he did, even if he was not fond of the activity. Brett always had an easygoing nature and especially enjoyed camping, tubing, fishing and snowmobiling.
We cannot forget Brett’s passion for sports which started at a very young age when he began racing cars at Victory Lanes Speedway. He quickly developed a love for NASCAR, football and hockey, especially his Winnipeg Jets! He was also excited to become a season ticket holder for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers for the very first time. Hockey was his favourite pastime though, as he attended many Jets games with his mom, sister and sometimes his dad. He was really looking forward to watching this year’s Jets playoffs.
Brett leaves to mourn his parents Riley and Carolyn; sisters Courtney, Kylie, Ariel; brother Logan; grandmother Eleanor Wiebe; nana and papa Faith and John Scott; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; close friend Josh Mantey and his very dear best friend Connor Friesen and the Friesen/Hiebert family.
Brett was predeceased by his twin brothers Korey and Kyle, grandfathers Edwin Wiebe and William Kelly, his grandmother Bernice Wiebe, and Jake Friesen who was very special to him.
The family wishes to express appreciation and gratitude to the staff of STARS, Falcon Lake R.C.M.P. and the thoughtfulness and support from all our family and friends.
"He sent from on high, he took me; he drew me out of many waters. He brought me out into a broad place, he rescued me, because he delighted in me." Psalm 18:16, 19
