Yvan Pattyn scored at 4:28 of overtime Wednesday night at Ste. Anne to give the Ste. Anne Aces a 3-2 victory, and a 3-2 lead in their Carillon Senior Hockey League semi-final series.

Red River opened the scoring early on a goal by Riley Mazinke just 1:42 after the opening face-off. But Russell Trudeau tied it for the Aces late in the opening frame.

Again Red River took the lead midway through the second on a goal by Jay Roberts before Dylan Kelly tied it for the two-time defending champion Aces in the final minute of the middle frame.

Guy St. Vincent and Marshall Cox both had strong games in net in this entertaining game as St. Vincent made 42 saves for the Aces while Cox turned aside 38 for the Wild.

Game six in the series will be played Friday at 8:00 p.m. at St. Jean. A date for a seventh and deciding game in Ste. Anne, if necessary, has not yet been announced.

The winner will take on the Grunthal Red Wings in the CSHL championship series.
