Saskatchewan baseball players have had quite a run over the past two weeks in Manitoba.

Two weeks ago, Saskatchwan won gold at the Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg, defeating Manitoba 3-1 in the gold medal game in front of 7,000 fans at Shaw Park.

Sunday at Ile des Chenes, five of those players that won Canada Games gold for Saskatchewan were in the line-up for the Muenster Red Sox that captured the Western Canadian Midget ‘AAA’ Baseball Championship.
