Pistons cruise to seventh straight win

The Steinbach Pistons won again Sunday night in Steinbach as they blanked the Waywayseecappo Wolverines 7-0.

It was the seventh straight victory for the MJHL-leading Pistons.

Matt Radomsky made saves 30 saves as he posted his league-leading fourth shutout of the season.

Brady Tatro netted a hat trick to pace the Pistons, giving him 10 goals on the season. MJHL scoring leader Bradley Schoonbaert added a pair. Rounding out the Steinbach scoring were Austin Heidemann, with his 16th of the campaign and Tyson McConnell with his 13th.

Drew Worrad picked up three assists in the game giving him seven points in the two weekend games in Steinbach as he now has 40 points in only 26 games this season. Schoonbaert leads the loop with 57 points in 34 games, including 23 goals, and has a five-point lead on Dexter Kuczek of the Blues.

The Pistons, now 27-7-1, have an eight-point lead on the second place OCN Blizzard, who blanked the Selkirk Steelers 6-0 Sunday night.

The Pistons have one more game before the Christmas break, and that will be Thursday night at Virden.
