Optimist Park in Winnipeg will be the site of the 13U and 15U ‘AAA’ provincial baseball championships this weekend and the Carillon Sultans are expected to be in the thick of things in both of these provincial tournaments.

Both Carillon teams qualified for the provincial championships by finishing third at their respective eight-team rural qualifying tournaments and both are expected to be competitive as well at this weekend’s provincial championships, with berths at the western Canadian and national championships on the line.

The Carillon Sultans will play their first game in the eight-team 13U tournament Friday at 3:15 p.m. vs. Pembina Hills and then will complete their round robin on Saturday with games against South Central at 12 noon and then Bonivital at 6:30 p.m.
