The first place Portage Terriers have only lost three times this season, but two of those losses have come at the hands of the Steinbach Pistons.

The latest loss came Wednesday night at Portage as the Pistons doubled the Terriers 4-2. Portage leads the MJHL standings with a 9-3-0-0 record, but the Pistons, now 7-4-1-0, have moved up to third place, their highest standing of the year, three points back of the Terriers.

Brady Tatro paced the Pistons with a pair of goals as the veteran forward now has 16 points in 12 games, including eight goals, and leads the MJHL in scoring.

Brendan Martin also scored, also his eighth, which is tops in the MJHL. Easton Bennett added an empty netter to close out the victory for the Pistons.

Tied 1-1 after the first, the Pistons led 3-2 after 40 minutes. The Pistons outshot the Terriers 28-15 as Matt Radomsky picked up the win in net.

That completes a four-game road trip for the Pistons, who now return home to host the OCN Blizzard in a pair of games this weekend at the T.G. Smith Centre, with games Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 7:00 p.m.
