The Steinbach Fly-In Golf Club will open up for public golf this weekend as the club will officially open on Saturday.
However, season pass holders, partners and corporate members will be allowed to play on Friday, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Members can now book tee times for the weekend and for the next two weeks.
On Friday, public players will be allowed to begin booking for this Saturday and Sunday and the following week.
Because it is still early in the season, it is expected there could be frost delays on some mornings. If there is a frost delay, players are asked to stay in their vehicles until tee times begin.
At this time the provincial government has mandated that all alcohol sales on all Manitoba golf courses are forbidden. This includes beverage carts, kiosks and counter service. Alcohol is not allowed on the course.
Golf courses are currently lobbying for clarification and modifications to these rules.
Additional COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions will also be in place on golf courses at this time, similar to last season.
