Tell our readers a bit about your professional life. What do you do for a living? If you're an incumbent candidate, what did you do before you entered politics?

I am currently an incumbent, first elected in 2016 in the Gimli Constituency and re-elected in the new constituency of Red River North in 2019 and running for re-election.

My wife & I started a moving company and owned and operated for 29 years before selling to our partner.

What's the highest level of education you've attained?

High-school diploma

How long have you lived in the constituency? If you don't currently live there, what led you to run there instead of where you live?

In 2019 an independent body reviewed the constituency boundaries and Gimli was amalgamated with Interlake, Selkirk was joined by St. Andrews, creating the Interlake-Gimli Constituency and new Selkirk Constituency.

Red River North was created and I was nominated in the new Riding of Red River North, which consists of RM of East St Paul and the RM of St Clements.

What is the biggest challenge facing your constituency, and how would you address it?

The biggest challenges in the Red River North Constituency are similar to other Capital Region Rms, sewer, potable water, based on accelatated population growth. I would continue to work with partnerships with the Federal Government and Local Municipalities to work towards increased capacity for our residents to accomodate rapid growth.

If elected, what will be your first priority?

To continue open and honest dialogue with my constituents and to support their diverse needs as I have for the last 4 years.

Who are your role models in politics, and why?

My current leader, Heather Stefanson, the first Manitoba Women Premier. Stephen Harper, former Federal Prime Minister. Both for their leadership, vision and commitments to Manitobans and Canadians, to provide a better way of life.

Tell us something about yourself that voters might find surprising.

I have always been driven, starting at a young age, to find a job. Growing up in Winnipeg, my first job was at Champs Chicken aka KFC, on St. Mary's Rd, as a cook.

As I am getting a little older, I really enjoy doing construction projects around our home, like building bird houses and feeders, play house for our grandchildren and most recently a deck in the front of our yard.
