Tell our readers a bit about your professional life. What do you do for a living? If you're an incumbent candidate, what did you do before you entered politics?

I am the PC candidate for Morden-Winkler and own a family business called King’s Deli with my son. I have worked and volunteered in both Federal and Provincial politics for the last 12 years. I have a background in Palliative Care, running volunteer programs and have also worked in Human Resources and Marketing . I have a strong work ethic and dedication to volunteering in my local community. I love spending time with my family.

What's the highest level of education you've attained?

High-school diploma

How long have you lived in the constituency? If you don't currently live there, what led you to run there instead of where you live?

I have lived in the constituency for over 25 years.

What is the biggest challenge facing your constituency, and how would you address it?

There are several large challenges that are very high priority to me and our constituents. Affordability is at the top. The cost of buying gas and groceries is difficult for many family’s. We need to start adjusting where we can to help put money back in the pockets of family’s. Tax cuts etc.

Healthcare is also at the top for me and our community and Province. We are as a PC Government setting up a program with funds designated specifically to help the rural communities with recruitment and retention of Heath care staff.

If elected, what will be your first priority?

I will meet with my constituents, listen to their concerns. Work together with all leaves of government. We need meet and find solutions. Let’s take action for a brighter future for our kids and the generations to follow!

Who are your role models in politics, and why?

Candice Bergen was my first and main inspiration and role model. I worked for her as her EA for several years. I loved working in both Ottawa and in her local office in Morden. She showed me strength, that being woman in politics is a big achievement and to strive for big things in life. Also the importance of working hard for a better world for our kids and generations to come. That it’s important to stand up for your family, community and country.

Tell us something about yourself that voters might find surprising.

I love pets. I grew up in a hunting family and have my PAL license. I also have an adventurous spirt! I probably take more chances on things then most people I know. I’m sure my kids could tell you some fun stories! That same spirit is why I’m running in the election. It takes a special person to put themselves out there. Congratulations to every candidate running in the provincial election!
