Tell our readers a bit about your professional life. What do you do for a living? If you're an incumbent candidate, what did you do before you entered politics?
I worked for the Canada Border Services Agency for 35 years. I was a Customs Inspector for 10 years and was a Customs Superintendent for 25 years. I managed both land border and commercial operations during my tenure.
What's the highest level of education you've attained?
Bachelor's degree
How long have you lived in the constituency? If you don't currently live there, what led you to run there instead of where you live?
I have lived in Lakeside for 9 years.
What is the biggest challenge facing your constituency, and how would you address it?
Our population is growing but our Healthcare and Homecare services are not fully funded or staffed appropriately. As a result our hospital cannot always provide 24 hour Emergency care.
If elected, what will be your first priority?
To improve the doctor to patient ratio in Lakeside.
Who are your role models in politics, and why?
My current political role models are Dougald Lamont, the Manitoba Liberal Party Leader and Rhonda Nichol who is running for MLA in Kirkfield Park. Both have a tireless work ethic and are committed to improving our healthcare system and making sure we all have an opportunity to voice our concerns.
Tell us something about yourself that voters might find surprising.
i have been an ice-maker at my local curling 🥌 rink for the past 9 years.
