Selects claim Winnipeg Jets AAA Classic

Following up on their standout regular season record of 10-3, the Eastman U15 AAA Selects hit the road from their Landmark base last weekend as they went undefeated in six games against a field of teams from across Western Canada in winning the Winnipeg Jets AAA Classic at Bell MTS Iceplex.

Eastman defeated Winnipeg Wild Gold 3-1 in the final and along the way also defeated teams from Vancouver and Edmonton, among others, enroute to the championship.

Team members include: Sebastien Cwikla, Sam Fontaine, Benjamin Doan, Nathan Forster, Reece Gault, Maxim Leduchowski, Brek Liske, Kasen Mateychuk, Jager Bueckert, Remy Hlady, Trystan Hunter, Archer Ives, Hayden Kochen, Zachary Lansard, Owen Martin, Calyb Moore, Ryan Reynolds, Cameron Sylvester and Cassius Walker.

The Selects are coached by Dennis Senebald, Will Cruise, Jeff Funk and Tony Lenchyshyn, along with trainer Naomi Kornelsen.
