During the course of the investigation police found that the driver of the car that struck the school bus was in possession of methamphetamine as well as items related to the sale of methamphetamine.

The driver was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime. The driver was released on a recognizance and will be appearing in Steinbach Provincial Court in March.
