Four boys charged with church arson

Four boys have been charged with arson following a fire Saturday night at Grace Mennonite Church in Steinbach. RCMP said the incident, caused by items being set on fire on the roof of the church, resulted in about $15,000 in damage. They reached out to the public for help in identifying the suspects.

“Four youths were taken into custody and charged for arson regarding this incident and mischief in relation to other incidents occurring in Steinbach in the past few months,” stated the RCMP in a media release.

All youths were released on conditions for court in Steinbach at a later date. Steinbach RCMP continues to investigate this matter.
