While fundraising and awareness are important for Providence University College in Otterburne, the annual fall celebration this year focused on the 90th anniversary for the institution that began in January 1925.

The University College has grown from a small graduating class of six students in the first year to now having a student body of nearly 600, said Irma McKenzie, Associate Vice President for Development.

There has been tremendous growth that started with classes operating in rooms of a home. Providence University College now has a large rural campus along with a number of online courses.
