Public aids RCMP with tips

Steinbach RCMP tip their hats to the public for helping lead police to a suspect wanted for questioning after a theft complaint from Walmart in Steinbach. A man from the RM of La Broquerie was arrested after police received information about his identity. He is now facing a charge of Theft Under $5,000 for stealing the magnetic key and other merchandise. He is set to appear in Steinbach Provincial court next month. Police released images from a security camera at the store and asked the public to help identify the subject.

RCMP are now looking to the public for help on another matter. On April 12 between the hour of 11 a.m. and noon, a vehicle parked at the Frantz Motor Inn was accessed by thieves who stole several power tools.
