Hanover School Division superintendent Shelley Amos is leaving for a new position in Winnipeg where she will be the superintendent for the Pembina Trails School Division.
“I’m very happy for her that she’s moving to another position that she is looking forward to and is excited about,” said Hanover board chair Brad Unger. “I’m happy for her but at the same time I’m very disappointed to see her leave. I appreciated her very much, her leadership and all the work she’s been doing as a superintendent. That’s a very big hole to fill.”
Amos has served in Hanover for 22 years, first as a teacher then as a principal and now as superintendent.

“There’s the obvious time she spent as superintendent and assistant superintendent, she’s been a principal for many years and a teacher for many years. She’s had experience in a variety of different roles with her time in Hanover so we would probably take a bit of time to calculate the number of children’s lives that she has impacted to those roles.”
Amos’ last day as superintendent will be July 31.
