It’s a new chapter for Derksen Printers and The Carillon as they leave their Main Street location and prepare to take up residence in a new home.
First established in Steinbach in 1946 Derksen Printers and The Carillon have a long history of serving the region.
It’s in that goal of continuing their commitment that the move is being made.

Publisher Laurie Finley said the decision to make a move came as a result of winding down printing in their local plant.
“Over the years as equipment aged, it became cost-prohibitive to continue all our printing in house,” he said. “As a result we were left with far more space than was needed.”
The business model will remain the same.
Derksen Printers will continue to offer a variety of job printing which can be booked in our local office.
The Carillon will continue its proud tradition of reporting news in the Southeast.
“It’s a new building, but the work will remain the same,” Finley said. “We’re committed to Steinbach and the entire region and are thankful for the ongoing support.”
Despite the rationale behind the move, Finlay admits it is bittersweet.
“On one hand, we’re moving to a modern office space where we can better serve our customers,” he said. “But we’re also leaving a lot of memories behind. The Main Street location is the only one our customers are familiar with and there are a lot of great memories within those walls.”
The new location at 95 Industrial Road will feature both office and warehouse space and will be a good fit for the business.
“We’re looking forward to many more years of serving our customers and reporting the news in Steinbach and throughout the entire region,” Finley said.
