COLUMN: On Parliament Hill – Provencher voters have spoken

Last week, I was honoured to have been re-elected for a 5th time as your Member of Parliament for Provencher.
This victory is not mine alone, it belongs to every single one of you who answered the door, asked tough questions, put up a sign, told a neighbour, or walked beside us on this journey. It is a reflection of the values we share and the hopes we hold for our communities.
Over the past few months, our team hit the ground running—literally. We knocked on over 11,000 doors across this riding, listening to your concerns, frustrations, and aspirations. I, along with our tireless, cheerful, and deeply committed volunteers, walked over 3,000 kilometres to connect with you. Rain or shine, on gravel roads and front porches, our volunteers showed up day after day with one mission in mind: to make sure your voice was heard.
That hard work paid off. This election, we increased our vote share from 48 percent in 2021 to 66 percent, an increase of 18 percent, the largest jump in Provencher and double that of any other candidate in the riding. That is a clear message: you believe in the direction my Conservative colleagues and I are taking and want strong, common-sense Conservative leadership.
And that’s precisely what we’ll deliver.
My Conservative colleagues and I are committed to putting Canadians first—always. We will continue the fight to reduce taxes, so your paycheques go further, and your families can thrive. We will continue to oppose catch and release practices that let off repeat offenders, striving for real action that brings safety and peace back to our streets and communities. And we also advocate for more homes, to be built faster, so that young Canadians can afford to put down roots and raise their families here—just like generations before them.
You’ve told us you’re tired of skyrocketing costs, rising crime, and government that’s out of touch. You want practical solutions, not more bureaucracy. You want leadership that listens and acts. That’s what I will bring back to Ottawa on your behalf.
But this is also a moment to thank those who made this campaign possible. To our volunteers, you were the heart and soul of our effort. Your commitment, energy, and belief in this cause were a blessing. To my family, thank you for your patience, love, and unshakable support. And to the other candidates who put their names forward, thank you for participating in the democratic process.
Most of all, thank you, Provencher. Thank you for your trust, support, and belief in a better future. I will continue to serve you with integrity, dedication, and a clear focus on what matters most to our region.
The work doesn’t end here, it begins anew. Let’s build a stronger, safer, and more affordable Canada, together.
