Manitobans will have more choices for summer camps this year as a few organizations expanded their age ranges.

Steinbach

The City of Steinbach is offering activity-based camps including:

July 7 – July 11: Survivor Camp
July 14 – 18: Game On! Sports Camp
July 21 – July 25: Hero Camp
July 28 – August 1: X-Treme Sports Camp
August 5 – August 8: Olympics Camp
August 11 – August 15: Adventure Camp
August 18 – August 22: ‘Tropical Thunder’ Camp

 

Fees are $140 for five days and $120 for four days. Registrations opened in March 2025.

Steinbach Arts Council (SAC) will be extending its summer camps from half-day to full-day programs for the Tots Summer Arts Day Camp for ages 3-4.

In 2024, around 300 people registered in its summer programs. Registrations are open and is first-come first-serve.

Kristi Peters, assistant programs coordinator, said they received many requests from parents last-year requesting it to be full-day for the ease of not having to pick up their child in the middle of the day and or childcare.

Peters said this year they are expecting 350 campers, and right now they are currently at 279 registrants.

The Life on the Farm camp week includes a field trip to the Mennonite Heritage Village. The other camps will have guest speakers.

Steinbach Arts Council summer camp’s weekly themes are:

Legends of the Deep (June 30 – July 4, 2025)
Jurassic World (July 7 – July 11, 2025)
Life on the Farm (July 14 – July 18, 2025
Medieval Explorers (July 21 – July 25, 2025)
The Great Outdoors (July 28 – August 1, 2025)
Adrenaline Adventures (August 5 – August 8, 2025)
Spy Kids (August 18 – August 22, 2025)

 

Program fees are $155 for full five-day weeks, and $130 for four-day weeks.

Hanover Summer Camps

Hanover Summer Camps expanded their age range to 5 to 13-year-olds from 6 to 12-year-olds, and the Culinary Camp remains to those between 7 to 13-year-olds.

Camp locations and dates are:
Culinary Camp (Mitchell): July 14-18
When I Grow Up… (Kleefeld): July 21-25
I Rock! Digging into Adventure (Blumenort): July 28 – August 1
Spy Camp (New Bothwell): August 11-15
Ocean Explorers (Grunthal): August 18-22

Niverville

Niverville’s summer camps are split into three groups with their own weekly themes.

Kinder Camps for 3 to 6-year-olds are now available for the full day. Three-year-olds can attend half-days if they are fully potty trained.

Camps for all age groups operate from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Piney

The Vassar Community Recreational Centre offers programs from Wednesdays to Fridays from July 5 to August 11 for children ages 6-13.

The programs start on July 5 to August 11 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Kids under six years old can attend with an adult.
