Man drowns in Caddy Lake

Falcon Lake RCMP say a 23-year-old Winnipeg man drowned while swimming in Caddy Lake.

In a July 11 press release, police say they were called to a report of a drowning at 1:22 p.m. on July 10.

RCMP, Whiteshell Fire Department and EMS responded immediately.

“It was reported that two males entered the water but only one resurfaced,” the press release said.

The fire department located the missing male under water. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation continues.
