Summer has come to an end and fall is officially in full swing! The summer months in Dawson Trail are full of so many fun things, from community parades and festivals to markets and rodeos; there’s always something exciting going on. I had a great time attending all of the different events, chatting with constituents, and just being out and about in the community. I am looking forward to seeing all of the fun and exciting things the fall season has in store.
This fall kicked off with National Rail Safety Week from Sept. 15 to 21, followed by our province’s own Rail Safety Awareness Week from Sept. 22 to 28. Typically in the past, these weeks have coincided with each other, but due to the way the calendar fell, that did not happen this year. With that being said, rail safety is such an important topic and something that should always be discussed and taught, so whether we have one or two weeks actively dedicated to it, it is something that should always be considered.
At the beginning of the month, a new legislative session began. I am glad to be back in the House with all of my colleagues, having discussions and figuring out ways in which we can help better the lives of Manitobans.
I would like to end by saying that I am always advocating for the constituents of Dawson Trail. I am constantly working to ensure that you are being represented and that your voices are being heard by our provincial government. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns, my office is always there, and we are more than happy to help.
