“This event reflects our commitment to creating opportunities for young women to see themselves represented on the professional stage, and we are proud to play a small role in creating this moment for our community,” Annie Chipman Stockl, True North Sports and Entertainment vice-president of marketing said in a news release.

Winnipeg will be one of 11 different cities to host a neutral-site PWHL game this season, as the league works to expand their reach beyond their eight markets. Last year’s takeover tour drew over 100,000 fans across nine games.

“The passion and support from fans and the enthusiasm from cities eager to engage with our league have fueled our ambition to grow the Tour for season three,” PWHL Executive Vice President of Business Operations Amy Scheer said.

Pre-sales for the event begin Nov. 13, with tickets becoming available to the general public Nov. 14.
