Steinbach Arts Council announces new shows

The 2025-2026 concert season just got more exciting in Steinbach as the Steinbach Arts Council announced three new shows.
They include a community concert, a free professional theatre production for families and a world-class solo piano performance.
Performing arts coordinator, Tara Schellenberg said they chose acts based on how they complement the concert season as a whole.
“We’re excited to reach a wide audience with a free family performance, a community musical concert, and a world-class pianist returning home,” she said.

Broadway Moments
March 19 to 21, Pat Porter Active Living Centre
Step into a world of show-stopping tunes with Broadway Moments. Directed by David Klassen and Kristy Penner, this concert features a talented cast of local musical theatre powerhouses performing beloved music from SAC’s past musical productions and more. From heartfelt ballads to high-energy ensemble numbers, enjoy an evening filled with passion, laughter and the timeless music of Broadway.
Tad and Birdy (A Manitoba Theatre for Young People Production)
April 10, Pat Porter Active Living Centre
Get ready for a heartwarming adventure about friendship and courage. A Manitoba Theatre for Young People production, this play introduces Tad, a curious tree frog tadpole, and Birdy, a cautious lovebird. As these unlikely friends meet in a messy bedroom, they discover the world beyond their window in a story filled with laughter, music and imagination. Perfect for children ages 5 to 12 and their families.
Home, Valerie Dueck in Concert (Solo Piano)

World-class pianist and Kleefeld native Valerie Dueck returns to her roots for a heartfelt concert celebrating home. With an international career spanning three continents as a pianist, art song specialist and opera coach, Dueck marks a milestone birthday with a program reflecting on belonging and connection. Join Valerie for an evening of music and storytelling as she brings her global journey full circle back to the community where it began.
