I am writing this letter to bring the never-married single without children (people) into the limelight. Myself and a never married single friend without children had a conversation about how those of us fall between the cracks in society, government, church and charities but all others that have children in particular are recognized or helped. (Mother’s Day, Father’s Day).

Sometimes divorced, widowed, separated people get help from their children.

Married people also share the financial burden as well.

A lot of people say it’s our choice but not always.

Christ gave himself as an example in Scripture and gave guidelines so why don’t people respect that?

As people who are never married, single, without children, we’re on our own financially often having only part-time jobs to pay the bills. There is no extra money nor is it possible to get more education in a special career to increase pay.

So, what are your thoughts on this lifestyle?

Myself and other never marrieds, single, without children would like to encourage others in this lifestyle to write a letter to the editor in The Carillon or other magazines or media on this topic.
