Lincoln Molind has been recognized for his strong start to the season.
The Steinbach Pistons starting goaltender was in action for all four of his team’s games in September, picking up a 3-1 record and a 0.928 save percentage, earning McMunn and Yates goaltender of the month honours from the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.
Molind, a 2006-born goaltender has had a long journey to get to the MJHL. He played minor hockey at academies in Massachusetts, spent a season in the Finnish third division before joining the Canadian Junior A ranks.

Swan Valley’s Dylan Ruff was the player of the month, racking up 13 points in four games. Ruff had multiple points in each of the Stampeders’ games in September.
Waywayseecappo’s Cale Liningston was the defeneseman of the month, Winnipeg Blues goalie George Jantz was the rookie of the month, with Kade Stringer named the league’s ‘peak performer,’ to round out the rest of the monthly awards.
