Roster announced for MJHL/SJHL All-Star Challenge

Four players from the region’s Manitoba Junior Hockey League teams have been selected to represent the league at the upcoming Western All-Star Challenge.

Two of those players are local to the area, with Mitchell’s William Picklyk, who suits up for Steinbach, and Niverville’s Jaden Mah, who plays for the Nighthawks, named to the team.

Owen Murray and Anthony Bedard, who also play for Niverville also made the roster, which will be coached by Nighthawks head coach Dwight Hirst (Beausejour).

Swan Valley has the most players on the roster with four. Four players from the Winnipeg Monarchs were named, but 2010-born Brayden Gregg was called up to the Wenatchee Wild in the Western Hockey League.

Four players, including Picklyk and Murray, are already affiliated to the Everett Silvertips of the WHL.

Team MJHL will be playing team Saskatchewan in a pair of games Nov 3/4. Those games will be broadcast on FloHockey.com.
