Tell our readers a bit about your professional life. What do you do for a living? If you're an incumbent candidate, what did you do before you entered politics?
I graduated from Transcona Collegiate and earned a Batchelor of Education from the University of Winnipeg, then went on to study at the Master's level at Providence Seminary, while serving as a pastor in Steinbach.
Prior to being elected, I was honoured to serve as Principal of The King's School and as a board member for the Manitoba Federation of Independent Schools.
What's the highest level of education you've attained?
Master's degree
How long have you lived in the constituency? If you don't currently live there, what led you to run there instead of where you live?
I have lived in Rossmere with my wife Ruth and our 3 kids for 12 years.
What is the biggest challenge facing your constituency, and how would you address it?
This summer I have literally spoken with thousands of constituents and repeatedly heard concerns about public safety and affordability.
If elected, what will be your first priority?
I will resume responding to constituent requests and take back all I have heard over the summer to my colleagues at the Legislature.
Who are your role models in politics, and why?
I have always admired the resolve and leadership of Winston Churchill, who my grandmother was honoured to serve as a secretary. As a child, she would often share stories with me about serving in his Admiralty War Rooms in WWII.
Tell us something about yourself that voters might find surprising.
I am a drummer and percussionist.
