A four week project has resulted in wonderfully written biographies as well as new friendships between seniors at Bridgepark Manor in Steinbach and students from Ste Anne Collegiate. The project was part of their Family Studies course that saw instructor Nancy Prystenski bring the students to the manor to conduct interviews.

“Students formed really good relationshiops with the seniors,” Prystenski said. “It was really good to see that outside-of-school connection.”

Seniors also recognized the hard work students poured into the biographies. Mary Wiebe was teamed up with Alexandra Broesky and Wiebe had nothing but glowing reports of her experience with the student.

“It’s beautifully done,” Wiebe said. “She’s gone through a lot of work; put it together very nicely. It’s my life story.”

The seniors will be asked to have their stories on display at the manor to allow more people to enjoy the finished product. After that, Wiebe plans to have it ready at her home for family members to enjoy.
