With less than six months before civic elections in Manitoba, Myron Dyck has announced he is running for mayor in Niverville. Dyck has served as a town councillor for six years. During that time, he has learned a lot about the important role local government officials has in helping communities grow and thrive, said Dyck.
“As a councillor, I’ve experienced firsthand the key role relationships play in building an inclusive community. As mayor, I will continue to work with all citizens in Niverville to ensure Niverville remains a community where everyone belongs.”
Deputy mayor John Funk has took over the mayor’s chair six months ago when it became vacant following the resignation of Greg Fehr.

Dyck is the first person to announce intentions to run for mayor. So far, there are no announcements regarding the four positions as town councillor. Elections are set for Oct. 22.
