Colin James to headline Summer in the City

The Summer in the City festival committee announced on Thursday that Colin James will be the “classic headline artist” at this year’s event.
James is an inductee in the Canadian Music Hall Of Fame. He has won six Juno Awards including “Male Vocalist of the Year” and the “Best Producer” award for his efforts with The Little Big Band. He is the recipient of 17 Maple Blues Awards having most recently been honoured in 2013 with “Entertainer of the Year.”
Summer in the City Festival, a celebration of arts and culture in the Southeast, will take place June 19 to 21.
James will take to the stage on Saturday, June 20. The festival previously announced that The Road Hammers will headline the opening night on Friday, June 19.
This year’s festival will feature a Friday evening car show, food vendors, artists and crafters, children’s entertainment, the midway, as well an even bigger Cultures in the City display and Worship in the City on Sunday at K.R. Barkman Park.
