John Gainor, president and CEO of Dairy Queen International, was in Steinbach yesterday to serve up Blizzard ice cream treats in support of the Children’s Miracle Network at Dairy Queen’s annual Miracle Treat Day.
Gainor, the man in charge of more than 6,000 Dairy Queen locations across the globe, spent time at a number of the company’s Manitoba franchise locations.
He was joined by Winnipegger Logan Quetember, who also travelled to Manitoba Dairy Queens in his role as the Children’s Miracle Network Manitoba’s 2017 Champion Child. The 13-year-old received care through Children’s Hospital Manitoba after being in a car accident in 2013. He continues to recover from the accident.

For more than 10 years, Miracle Treat Day has seen Dairy Queen partner with the Children’s Miracle Network to donate net proceeds from Blizzard treats sold on the day to local Children’s Miracle Network member hospitals.
