Teenager arrested for armed robbery

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested after an armed robbery was reported in Steinbach on Sunday night.
Around 10 p.m., police recieved a report of the robbery at a business in the 400 block of Main Street. The suspect, who was reported to have a firearm, stole an undisclosed amount of money.
The youth was tracked by the RCMP’s local canine unit from the scene to a nearby residence.
The teenager was arrested and is charged with robbery using a firearm, disguise with intent, carrying a concealed weapon, careless use of a firearm, using a firearm in commission of an offence and possession of a firearm for dangerous purpose.
He remains in custody.
